This rich mixture of grey tones and pops of chocolate sliver is lofty and extreamly soft, perfect for spinning and felting.

Feral Fibres in collaboration with Sheepy John.

John, a Downland Shepherd of more than 40 years, developed his Harting blacks from 5 sheep that had been inbred and reverted back to a primitive state with natural instincts for survival.

Johns objective was to breed sheep with wonderful personalities and temperament. He continued cross breeding with a view to produce many different fine wool types.

They’ve now evolved to a breeding flock in excess of 200 with followers and young stock.

Johns present objective is to produce a variety of beautiful sheepskins that delight him beyond compare. But with the input of Feral Fibres, we now bring to you an exclusive range of Harting Black Sliver.
